Benefits of bullet journaling

I have been using planners since middle school and I cannot imagine my life without them! Planners are one of my biggest tips to getting on track! I have recently began using a bullet journal instead, and I have been loving it! These are a few reasons why you should start a bullet journal.

  • First off, you WILL remember your tasks. Writing down what you need to do minimizes the amount of thoughts in your mind.
  • You can plan ahead. Nothing is as bad if you start earlier.
  • You can make it completely yours!
  • It is a good way to practice drawing and handwriting
  • You can plan while listening to music, or watching a show to make time fly by
  • It is a de-stresser (even though that is hard to believe)
  • No one else will have it
  • There is so much inspiration out there!
  • It will make you want to plan!
  • It is very satisfying!

These are two weekly spreads I have made for this month!

Want to be a morning person?

The morning is my favorite time of the day, and I wish more people understood this! If you want to be a morning person, or simply have an easier time waking up, follow these tips!

  1. Plan tomorrow, today: If you know what you are going to do tomorrow, you won’t have to spend time thinking about it
Giannotta, Meghan. (2020). Bullet Journals, planners that’ll help you find mindfulness in 2020. Retrieved from https://www.newsday.com/lifestyle/fashion-and-shopping/2020-bullet-journals-planners-1.39596819
  1. Create a realistic time to wind down: If you can, set aside time at the end of the day to relax!
  2. Step up a sleep schedule and stick to it: Use a sleep calculator to see what time you should go to bed to wake up on time. For example, if you wake up at 6am, make an effort to sleep by 10:15 to finish your sleep cycle.
  3. Don’t complain, just get up: Don’t think about not wanting to get up, that takes energy.
  4. Make you bed IMMEDIATELY! It allows you to finish something right when you get up!

  1. Drink water
  2. Listen to podcasts: I love starting my day off with some inspiration!
  3. Set timers for tasks: You will get more done and be accountable for your time
  4. Eat breakfast, seriously
  1. Get started right away
  2. Look at the bright side: you will feel SO much relief later
